Snagging of new buildings
Snagging is the process of inspecting a new property for defects (snags) in the finish and then ensuring that the developer rectifies the defects. The developer is responsible for correcting any defects within a specified period of time ,if your snagging list is not reported to the developer in time, any repairs will be at your expense.
The average new home will have many defects, mostly minor but occasionally major. For most owners the option of snagging their apartment is not always an option due to the cost of travelling to egypt and restricted holiday entitlement
We can provide a detailed and comprehensive snagging service on your new property.
We would require details of your property and the developers contact details, we would then require authorisation from yourself to show to the developer that we will be working on your behalf. After contacting the developer we would arrange with them to go to your apartment to perform the inspection
We will carry out a thorough visual inspection of your new property before you take possession. This report, including photographs where appropriate, is then discussed and given to the builder or developer who will have the opportunity to rectify all faults and defects prior to our return.
After allowing the developer a specified time to rectify the defects, we will return to check the work and changes that have been made, note what plans the developer has made for resolving any outstanding issues and submit the report to you
